River Streamflow in India

The KaruSphère laboratory contributed its expertise to the article entitled “A fractal approach to daily streamflow simulation in Indian river basins using visibility graphs“. The study analyzes daily streamflow records from five major Indian river basins using a framework based on visibility graphs and multifractal analysis. The authors propose a new fractal regression model (FRM) that directly links fractal properties to streamflow simulation. The results reveal predominantly stochastic dynamics and pronounced long-term persistence, while showing that the fractal model effectively reproduces streamflow dynamics, with overall performance exceeding that of linear regression and ARIMA models.
